Feb 24 UFV Faculty Publication Celebration
- Online exhibit launches Wednesday, February 24, 12pm PST
- Open to UFV faculty with peer-reviewed scholarly work published or presented within the last 2 years (2019-present)
We will notify you later this week when our online submission form is up and running! Contributors will be asked to provide:
- A few personal details and a photo / headshot
- For each submission: Title, format/type, date of publication, a few keywords, citation (formatted per discipline), and a link or attachment of the scholarly work
- A brief video discussing an aspect of their piece, or summarizing its significance for a general audience (2 min. max)
Publication(s) will be accepted through February 5!

April 8 UFV Student Research Day
Similar to last year's event, Student Research Day 2021 will be an online showcase launching Thursday, April 8, 2021. Check back to our Events page in late January for logistics, eligibility criteria, how to register as a participant or judge, poster guidelines, FAQs, etc.
Please begin notifying students of these deadlines!

EFCIE Innovation Grant proposals due January 31st
The UFV Esposito Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (EFCIE) offers Innovation Grants for student-faculty teams to explore ideas for new products, prototypes, and inventions. Amount: Up to $5,000 (STEM stream) or $10,000 (general stream). Apply by January 31, 2021

Apply for up to $4-8k to support your student-engaged research
Our Faculty/Student Research and Scholarly Activity Fund supports projects that have a strong student engagement and mentorship component. Type B Faculty, Academic Support Faculty, and Directors are eligible to submit an application. Apply by February 15, 2021

Gov't grant supports short-term teaching/research projects abroad
The Government of Canada (Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program) is offering $7,000 grants for full-time professors and researchers to host short-term teaching or research projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Apply by February 25, 2021

Funding available for students from Southeast Asia to study and do research in Canada
Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) provides students from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) with short-term study and research exchange opportunities in Canada. Apply by March 4, 2021

PARC offers variety of grants to support the artists, activists, and storytellers among us
Last September, UFV's Peace and Reconciliation Centre (PARC) announced a number of grants, fellowships, and scholarships to support creative, community-engaged projects. Awards range from $250-$3,000 and are open to faculty, staff, and community members. Apply now!
