SVdP Georgia Announces Six New Board Members
St. Vincent de Paul Georgia (SVdP Georgia), a nonprofit agency dedicated to preventing homelessness, fighting hunger and changing lives, has welcomed six new members to its Board of Directors.
“Our Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team of community leaders committed to providing help and hope for our neighbors in need throughout the state of Georgia,” said Patrick McNulty, CEO of SVdP Georgia. “We are excited to channel our new Board of Director’s talent, expertise and energy into furthering our mission.”
Only $300,000 more is needed to complete this transformational project and position SVdP Georgia to provide help and hope to those in need for decades to come.
Through our first-ever capital campaign, Hope Transformed, SVdP Georgia is reimagining help and hope! Our new Community Support Center in Atlanta includes:
NEW COMMUNITY PHARMACY that will offer free prescription medication, so families do not have to choose between getting medication and paying rent or other bills;
EXPANDED CLIENT-CHOICE FOOD PANTRY that will create access to fresh and nutritious food for community members in need;
NEW TEACHING KITCHEN that will provide healthy eating and nutrition education;
NEW CONNECTED CLASSROOMS that will provide efficient state-wide training for clients and SVdP Georgia volunteers;
NEW JOBS CENTER that will provide those we serve with the opportunity to pursue better-paying jobs and advance their careers and so that they can achieve sustainable financial security.

NEW SVdP GEORGIA COMMUNITY PHARMACY COMING THIS WINTER!
The new SVdP Georgia Community Pharmacy will be opening in Chamblee, GA to serve patients ages 18-64 across the state who cannot afford their medications.
Diana, her boyfriend Isaac, and their 2 children moved into a Norcross area apartment from out of state. They both obtained employment with temporary agencies that promised a bridge to full-time work. Unfortunately, when the temporary period was over they were not offered permanent employment and so would have a week or two without income until they were assigned to another temporary position. Eventually, these gaps in their income caused them to get behind on their rent and they were evicted.
