OFFICE OF SUICIDE PREVENTION

Welcome!

Welcome to the January 2021 Office of Suicide Prevention newsletter!
Rockstar Partner Spotlight!

Cass Walton
Cass Walton took on the role of Executive Director at Pikes Peaks Suicide Prevention in 2019. She jumped right in restructuring the free services and making sure that everyone in the Pikes Peak area is able to access help. When the COVID pandemic hit, Cass did everything in her power to keep some of the groups in person as she understood the important need for connection and how that connection can save lives.  Even though Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention is not a crisis line, Cass and her volunteer staff continue to take all calls with an empathetic and personal approach as they direct people to the help that they need. Cass has also been instrumental in the Colorado National Collaborative efforts in El Paso County.  She co-chairs the Steering Committee and the Postvention Committee as well as sitting on many of the others. She is always cheerful, approachable, and she gets things done! El Paso County is so lucky to have her!
