This year, the Foundation has two opportunities (April & August) to apply for funding through our three portfolios: Programs & Services, Strengthening Partner Capacity, and Community Change. Should you choose to apply, a preliminary grant request is due by either April 7, 2021 or August 18, 2021, depending on which cycle you choose.
As COVID-19 is still very much with us, this summer the Peter & Elizabeth Tower Foundation is offering an additional opportunity to apply for funding to support organizations that continue their work in the face of challenges tied to the pandemic. Organizations with existing programming in the Foundation’s funding geography expressly serving young people with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, mental illness, and/or substance use disorders and their families are eligible to apply for unrestricted grants of up to $25,000. The first round has closed. Applications for the second round are due by July 7, 2021.
Please go to our Apply for a Grant page on our website for more information about these grant opportunities.

The Peter & Elizabeth Tower Foundation is working to build a deliberate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion lens into its grantmaking practice. Part of this involves getting to know people and organizations working in the mental health, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and substance use disorder fields that we don’t already know.
While we can’t easily come out to your neighborhoods to get to know you better, we invite you to meet with us at our virtual office hours the week of March 15. If you’d like to talk with a Program Officer, grab some time here: https://towerfdn.link/office-hours. We’re happy to talk to you about the Foundation and what we fund, but mostly we want to learn about you, your organizations, and the people you serve.
