People power!

The Department of Transport have knocked back a proposal to extend the jet ski area on the Swan River including along Maylands peninsula, following a huge outcry in the community.

1561 of the 2,000 people who responded to an online survey rejected a trial allowing jet skis upstream of the Windan Bridge and nearly half did not want changes to the boundary of the ski area at Belmont.

Well done to all MYC members who completed a submission on the club's behalf! This will ensure that sailing, RC sailing and kayaking will remain the major low impact sports on our Maylands waters.










 

SHORT COURSE RACING  -  

THIS SUNDAY

This Sunday club dinner will be a special spit roast (goat!).  Prepared by MYC member Tom. Salad and rolls also included. $10 a head. A nice way to end an afternoon of short course racing.
