HALO programs 

Welcome to our March newsletter. Our HALO program is designed to help our community to 'Find Your 30'. Thirty minutes per day of moderate to intense physical activity is what's recommended under Australia's Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines.

We hope our newsletter will assist you in finding ways to increase your physical activity.

Come and Try Kayaking

Want to try kayaking for FREE, now's your chance!

Join Paddle SA on the Onkaparinga River and learn how to paddle safely and discover the river region.

Single, double and 'sit on top' kayaks available and suitable for participants aged 5 years plus. Children aged 5 to 15 years must go in a double kayak with an adult.  Bookings essential. To find out more...

OUTFIT Onkaparinga

If you want to use outdoor fitness equipment, participate in a fitness class, or just want to get active, then OUTFIT Onkaparinga is designed for you!

Join our FREE group exercise sessions with a personal trainer, at various times and locations. Learn how to use outdoor fitness equipment safely and effectively, join in a group fitness class and develop a workout routine you can use more regularly.

All sessions provide alternative exercises making them accessible to all fitness levels and suitable for adults of all ages. To find out more...

White Valley Loop Heritage Walk

Join National Trust volunteers on a 4km walk to discover flour mills, churches, shops, pubs and other buildings of the formerly thriving community near Aldinga. Hear stories about people and places of this historic area. A gold coin donation would be appreciated to National Trust.

Two walks available - Saturday 13 March and Sunday 14 March starting at 10am. Bookings essential. 

Noarlunga Aquatic Centre

Did you know that the that the Noarlunga Aquatic Centre is under the new management of the City of Onkaparinga? 

The pool provides casual swimming, learn to swim school and aqua classes, and there's also fitness classes and a gym.  Find out more... 

Parkrun 

Congratulations to Christies Beach parkrun who recently celebrated their 200th parkrun with 175 people who ran, jogged and walked this spectacular course.

Parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km timed walk, jog or run held every Saturday. It is run by volunteers and is open to everyone of all abilities. Find out more...
