New Web Resource: Job Posting
|
|
NSIV members and graduates can now post job openings on the NSIV website. To post a job it is as simple as visiting the company and communities tab on the website, creating an account, and filling out the form for the job posting. Upon the completion of the job posting form, an email will then be sent to NSIV for approval.

Cummings Properties generously made available to NSIV equipment from one of its former tenants at their Woburn site. Among the list of high-end equipment were various centrifuges, incubators, and microscopes. Cummings will be donating some of the equipment to NSIV as well as allowing NSIV to assume the contract on some of the more costly items. We thank them for their generosity and partnership.

The U.S. Small Business Administration, in consultation with the Treasury Department, announced that the Paycheck Protection Program will re-open the week of January 11 for new borrowers and certain existing PPP borrowers. To promote access to capital, initially only community financial institutions will be able to make First Draw PPP Loans on Monday, January 11, and Second Draw PPP Loans on Wednesday, January 13. The PPP will open to all participating lenders shortly thereafter.

- Has no more than 300 employees; and
- Can demonstrate at least a 25% reduction in gross receipts between comparable quarters in 2019 and 2020.

More than $1.5 Million to Support Development and Acceleration of Coronavirus Testing Solutions |
|
|
Last week, the Baker-Polito Administration and the MLSC announced more than $1.5 million to support four projects that seek to increase testing capacity and address existing gaps in coronavirus testing. The funding is through the Accelerating Coronavirus Testing Solutions (A.C.T.S.) program, which supports projects focused on two core areas: accelerating the development of at-home or point-of-care testing methods that are simpler and faster, and new and innovative solutions that address existing supply chain bottlenecks.
The four A.CT.S. awardees that will administer projects are two Massachusetts-based companies, and two of our leading research hospitals:
- Kephera Diagnostics
- Virex Health
- Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
- Brigham and Women’s Hospital
The MLSC is proud to be part of the Commonwealth’s ongoing effort to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, including contributing funding and resources to the M-ERT and the Massachusetts Consortium on Pathogen Readiness. These recent contributions are in addition to the Center’s continued administration of various programs and other initiatives to support the life sciences sector. |
