Fire Science Survey Announcement
Hello Northern Rockies Fire Science Network subscribers –
You are receiving this email because you’ve subscribed to the Northern Rockies Fire Science Network’s email listserv and/or participated in NRFSN workshops, field trips or webinars. We’re interested in feedback on how we can better serve your needs related to fire and fuels science.
The NRFSN is one of 15 regional Fire Science Exchanges funded by the federal interagency Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP). The JFSP is working with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to conduct a survey of Fire Science Exchange Network subscribers across all regions to assess existing and future service delivery, products, and communication materials across the entire network. As an NRFSN subscriber, you will see an email inviting you to take the USGS national fire science exchange survey on February 1st.
While the USGS survey is national in scope, the NRFSN advisory board has also requested information specific to managers and scientists working in the Northern Rockies. A random sample of NRFSN subscribers will also receive a 2nd region-specific survey requesting more detailed information about your priority topics, activities, and products to inform the Northern Rockies program of work.
Both surveys will be brief, so we respectfully request that you participate in both. Your input is important and will ensure that allocated resources are relevant and effective. We truly appreciate your time and look forward to your input!
Sincerely,
Vita Wright, NRFSN Principal Investigator
Signe Leirfallom, NRFSN Coordinator
Cory Davis, NRFSN Science Communication Specialist
