Dear Friends,

We are very much looking forward to the resumption of all our usual congregation activities. We are planning our Lent discussion group, the return of the Bible Talk, Bible Study, and of course, congregation lunches. As announced in the services last weekend, we are holding the first of these, a special Chinese New Year celebration lunch in the Barbara Darling Room next Sunday 7 February following the 10am combined 10 am and 1pm service. Details to book are below. As this is a catered lunch there is a charge, but of course, if that would prevent you booking, please get in touch with me (precentor@stpaulscathedral.og.au or 9653 4306) and we will look to assist with a subsidy. As we are in the midst of restrictions due to Covid 19, there is a limit to how many bookings we can accept, so do book asap!

On Saturday 6 February we will host the Service of Ordination of Deacons at 10.30am. If any of our welcome team would like to volunteer to assist with welcome and seating of the guests, or servers would like to assist in the service, please let me know.

We are really pleased to welcome on board Ben Gunthorpe as our live stream operator. This will be Ben’s third Sunday with us. We are also looking forward to welcoming our Interim Cathedral Pastor, and a new priest as a Sunday Associate Priest. More details about that next week!

We look forward to you joining with us in worship this Sunday.

Grace and peace,

Heather.

  • You have to book a seat using the above links and bring your ticket along with you to attend worship. Bookings are mandatory and access to the services will be strictly managed.
  • Please do not attend the service if you are unwell or have any symptoms of Cold or Flu. Our staff will take your temperature using contact-less thermometers and will not admit you if you have a high temperature. If you do feel unwell go immediately for a COVID test and isolate at home until you receive the result.
  • You will be asked to sanitise your hands when entering the building and prior to receiving communion.
  • There will be set seating and you will be directed to a seat on arrival. Please remain in your designated seat and follow the directions of staff for receiving communion and departing at the end of the service.
  • Keep 1.5m distance from others at all times, including in the carpark, when you line up, talk with people or sit down.
  • Wear your mask at all times and avoid all physical contact with others, including shaking hands. At the Greeting of Peace, please remain in your place and acknowledge those around you.
  • The collection is a retiring collection. No plate will be passed around at the offertory, however donation points will be available at the back of the Cathedral. We also encourage you to give via EFT or Online where possible: http://www.cathedral.org.au/donate
