Dear <<First Name>>

Back pain impacts many of us, either directly or indirectly, through family members or friends. It is important to be aware of the many risks associated with back pain.

According to the National Institute of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal, and Skin Diseases, here is a list of facts that increase the risk of chronic back pain:

  • Your Job: Daily repetitive movements such as lifting, pushing, pulling, or bending while moving your spine may cause back pain. If you work at a desk all day and do not sit with proper posture, you are also at risk of back pain.

  • Aging: Back pain is more common in adults who are older than 65 years old.

  • Physical Fitness: Back pain is more of a risk in those who are not physically active or exercise regularly.

  • Genetics: Some causes of back pain, such as ankylosing spondylitis, a form of arthritis that affects the spine, can be hereditary.

By knowing the risk factors that lead to chronic back pain, we hope that you will be able to make informed decisions about your health and well-being. As always, if you would like to talk in greater detail or discuss your specific back pain conditions, please make an appointment by contacting the office 866-228-2208
