State Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey spoke about CARES Act round 2 funding, enrollment, and the state budget after the state board meeting last Thursday. He said COVID-19 recovery plans should center on improving student mental health, curbing learning loss, updating school buildings to mitigate the spread of the virus, and creating learning opportunities for special populations of students.
