It is with sadness and gratitude that the Board of Directors announces the departure of Lisa Perry as Executive Director of Jeremiah’s Place. While the board is saddened to see Lisa go, they are thrilled that she will be able to use her skills and passion for another organization that is making a difference in the lives of so many.

Four years ago, Lisa joined Jeremiah’s Place as a board member and quickly moved into an Assistant Executive Director position and then into the Executive Director position. Lisa guided Jeremiah’s Place into strengthening its mission of caring for children and supporting families. David Dix, Chair of the Jeremiah’s Place Board of Directors said, “Lisa strengthened the financial foundation of the agency. She did a wonderful job of reaching out to the community and to partners.” David went on to say that Lisa navigated the unprecedented times of running a crisis nursery through a global pandemic with ever shifting guidelines and safety considerations. The Board of Jeremiah’s Place is grateful for Lisa’s 4 years of service as Executive Director and they appreciate her interest for a smooth transition of leadership.

The Board also thanks Lisa for hiring and working so closely with Jordan Shoenberger initially as Program Manager and then as Director of Operations and Development. Now as Lisa starts her next professional journey, the Board is delighted that Jordan has graciously accepted the offer to become Acting Executive Director. With his background in social work and the foster care system and his great skill at managing finances and data, he has learned the ins and outs of Jeremiah’s Place. He also has the heart for the children and the families that is so crucial for someone leading this amazing organization.

Please join the Board of Jeremiah’s Place and the many families being served by this organization in thanking Lisa Perry for her service, passion and commitment.  And please wish Jordan Shoenberger the best as Acting Executive Director.

Jeremiah’s Place’s primary focus is to protect children and to provide safe and supportive solutions for families in need.
