FUN RUN - MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
The annual Scholls Heights Fun Run will be held the week of March 15th!
As with most of our favorite school activities, this year's Fun Run will look a little different. You will complete your laps at your own pace and wherever your shoes may take you.
There will be a scheduled drive through pickup for Fun Run T-Shirts and envelopes the week of February 22nd. We will be sending out more information soon via email and the PTO facebook page.

INCOMMING KINDERGARTEN SESSION
Kindergarten Registration is now available! Our Principal Mrs. Bario will have a kindergarten informational meeting tentatively scheduled for February 25th at 4:00pm. We will be having our kindergarten orientation May 20th at 4:00pm. Both meetings will be held via zoom. Please keep an eye out for her newsletter for more information!
STAFF APPRECIATION
After the amazing show of love and appreciation we had from our Scholls Heights Families in the form of notes and signs in November, we would love to spread some more love to our teachers and staff in February. This can include general signs, banners, notes, etc that will be hung outside the entrance to the school for all to see. Please drop off your items into the marked bin at the school starting Monday February 1st - Thursday, February 11th.
MAKERSPACE IS BACK
Makerspace is back for February! This is alway such an exciting opportunity for the students to get creative while at home with items they already have on hand (thanks families for saving your your recycling items!)
The challenge will run February 8 - 12th. We will be creating Recycled Robots and Brick Valentines! More details will be posted on the SHPTO Facebook page and on the SHPTO Makerspace page during the first week in February.
DINING FOR DOLLARS (D4$)
When you dine at the supporting restaurant on the D4$ Day, they donate a portion of their proceeds back to the PTO.
The next D$4 is on Thursday, February 18th at Mod Pizza. Mod Pizza is located at12196 SW Scholls Ferry Rd in Tigard.
Important: In order for your purchase to count towards our fundraiser, you must verbally tell the cashier of your participation.
5TH GRADE YEAR BOOKS - HELP NEEDED
The 5th Grade Send-off planning is underway. While things are going to look a little different this year, we still want to create something memorable for our 5th graders as they head off to Middle School!
We are seeking assistance from someone with graphic design and/or photography skills to assist with our yearbook. Also if you have connections or ideas for fun swag, please let us know! Please contact Andrea Bonard at ambonard@yahoo.com.

How do you participate?
First, fill out this form to get blue bottle drop bags. Once you pick up your bags. Next, fill up the bag with your bottles and cans! At your convenience, drop it off in the Drop Door at a nearby BottleDrop Redemption Center.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ASAP!
Even though we are still learning remotely, the PTO is actively working to fundraise and plan events for our students. we are in need of several Parent volunteers lend their time and talent on our committees. This helps us continue to make this year special for our students and families, and continue the sense of community we've built together.

CLASS FACEBOOK GROUPS
Want to stay connected with other parents whose kiddos are in the same grade? We have created new Facebook groups for K-5th grades to stay connected, share ideas, ask questions, and plan future events.
These pages are meant to be a source of support, not a place to share grievances, comparison, or personal business or promotion.
