“That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea. And great crowds gathered about him, so that he got into a boat and sat down. And the whole crowd stood on the beach. And he told them many things in parables, saying…” - Matthew 12:1—3. Can you imagine Jesus, telling stories, beachside with the sun setting on a beautiful afternoon? What a sight to behold?
There is a reason Jesus told parables or stories. It’s because God loves a good story. He loves romance stories, funny stories, and even more, He loves stories of improbability, and impossibility. It’s no coincidence that the Bible is a book full of stories. Stories do something that nothing else can. They invite us into an adventure and allows us a window into someone else’s narrative. They give us a chance to understand things in a completely different way, and for better or worse, every one of us has a story, and these stories are vast in twists and turns. However, one thing all of our stories have in common is that God intervenes in a unique way. God, in some way or another, makes His presence known unto us, and this sabbath we are going to look into five different stories of how God has done exactly that. Can’t wait to see you there.
Connected to the vine.
Pastor Victor.
