Behind Belarus' shocking statistics are
real people

In the latest episode of our weekly What the Fuck!? podcast, we speak with the US Press Freedom Tracker's Kirstin McCudden.

McCudden talks about how attacks on journalists skyrocketed during the Black Lives Matter campaign, legitimised by the Trump presidency. She discusses the storming of the US Capitol and what it means to be a journalist in the USA right now.

Time to act over online privacy

The cookies we blindly accept on websites have the potential to curtail other rights, given that privacy is a gateway for other civil liberties, especially freedom of expression. The more people become aware of how much of their own data is being hoovered up, the more careful they feel like they have to be about what they do online. Read our article about online privacy here
