Wed. Jan. 20  -  Wednesday was a special day all around this fine land, but that was nothing compared to the best of picks from Peter Nordgren, Greg from Poland and Walt Falconer. Smash!

Thur. Jan. 21  - Thursday found us pondering another outstanding trio of picks. This time from Christian Duchateau, Jesse Jackson and Jason from New York. Boom!

Fri. Jan. 22  - Friday rolled up on us like we were washing down pain meds with Jack and Coke. And the calls and picks from (the only) Urb Fernandez, Bill Mulligan and Sunny. Smack!

Watch some "Rockin' the Suburbs" listeners (and hosts) cover Weezer's "Hash Pipe." Epic awesomeness.

Friday New Releases: Hot off the Press!

Start collecting your best of 2021 picks now!

Steve Hackett - Under a Mediterranean Sky (InsideOut/Century)
The former Genesis guitarist presents a new acoustic album that may serve as soothing soundtrack now that we can all exhale a bit.

Lee Rocker - Gather Round (Upright)
The Stray Cats bassist - upright is right - recorded a few of these songs, pre-pandemic, in true rockabilly style. Live in a room - let it rip! To finish the album, musicians had to record individually and remotely. But the feel still comes off as something that would make Sam Phillips smile. Oh, and there’s a cover of The Band’s “Ophelia,” to further establish Rocker’s Americana bonafides.
