Job Highlights

Zookeeper II B23 (Elephants)
Maintain and care for a variety of animals including arthropods within the BioPark; assist curatorial and veterinary staff as needed and perform a variety of activities relative to the assigned area of responsibility. A full description can be found here.

Community Outreach Coordinator E16
Plan, direct, lead and oversee the more complex and difficult work of program development within an assigned division; coordinate services with outside agencies and the community and perform a variety of administrative and technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Deputy Dir.-Albuquerque Community Safety (ACS) Policy & Admin
Plan, direct, manage, oversee and supervise a wide range of programs and activities within the Albuquerque Community Safety (ACS) Department which may include Administrative Services, Policy, and Training, as well as the preparation of grant applications and the formulation of policies in accordance with Federal and/or State regulations; coordination of assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies; and highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Community Safety Department Director. The Office of Equity and Inclusion will soon be seeking an African American Affairs Liaison. The position will serve as a liaison between the City of Albuquerque and local African American communities and African American owned businesses. This is a full- time position focused on using and promoting the use of data and equity tools and principles to evaluate policies and practices to eliminate institutional barriers to equity. This individual will be for responsible developing and strengthening relationships with various sectors of local African American communities and planning and implementing programs, in collaboration with other city departments and community partners, designed to increase the City of Albuquerque’s engagement with and responsiveness toward local African American communities.
