Hello everyone,

As a family, we’ve been taking walks outdoors a lot lately. Whenever it’s not wet, whenever there is sun we make it a point to try to go for a stroll. We’ve also tried to visit parks we’ve never been to , neighbourhoods we would otherwise never visit. The photo above is from such a walk - a view of Iona Island from Deering Island Park.

I wonder what new rhythms you have discovered this past while. What new routines have you tried and kept that have helped you through this season?

Discovering new things is helpful, but so is recovering the tried and tested habits that nurture our spiritual lives. How is your prayer deepening?

For the next while, in this newsletter, along with news and updates, I’ll provide reflections and resources on the practice of prayer. We can never stop learning about prayer. What have you learned recently? How would you like to grow in your life of prayer?

Let’s journey together.

Jason

Prayer Meeting

“A Christian community either lives by the intercessory prayers of its members for one another, or the community will be destroyed.”
- Dietrich Bonhoeffer

The quote above by Bonhoeffer reminds us of the necessity for prayer within our church.
Despite the challenges that COVID brings to practicing our faith together, we encourage you all the more, to make time to pray with brothers and sisters. You’re always invited to join us for a time of praying together, for one another, for our church, and for the world.

Third Tuesday of Every Month
Next Meeting: Tuesday, February 16, 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Every Season Marriage Group

We are gathering married couples who want to talk, pray, and learn together what it means to grow in our marriages in Christ.

The groups will meet once every three months.

We are beginning a group this month for couples married up to 7 years. We plan to begin another group for those married 7+ years in the spring.

If you’re interested to join, connect with Pastor Jason - jason.cheung@rcac.ca - and he’d be glad to share more about these groups more.
