Your mental health is incredibly important. This site provides students with all of our mental health resources in one place, so that finding the support you need is easy and accessible 24 hours a day, wherever you are. Have questions about COVID-19 vaccines?
Join daily Zoom sessions with U of T Prof. Tara Moriarty

Dr. Moriarty directs an infectious diseases research lab and has been tracking changes in COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. She is now taking to Zoom to answer any questions you may have about COVID-19 vaccines.

The sessions take place at 8:00 p.m. EST and can accommodate up to 100 participants.

Bell Let’s Talk Day: Self-Care during COVID-19

January 28, 3:00 - 5:00 pm

With the uncertainty associated with the pandemic it is easy to get overwhelmed and anxious, especially when we cannot engage in our usual self-care activities. As we adjust to this new normal, it is important to take care of ourselves. On Bell Let's Talk day, join us in welcoming the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) who will run a virtual interactive workshop on self-care during COVID-19 (limit first 100 people)!

Every mental health related event you attend from January 28 (Bell Let's Talk Day) onwards will equal one entry for a raffle at the end of March.

MoveU.HappyU is a FREE six-week program which focuses on behaviour changing and exercise training specifically for mental health support. Applications are open to all U of T students. MSRD is the largest student-run medical student research conference in Canada. The conference showcases the research performed by students at the University of Toronto in the MD and MD/PhD streams. New ‘shadow pandemic’: How COVID has contributed to a surge in eating disorders in young children

IMS faculty member Dr. Debra Katzman spoke with Global News Radio 640 Toronto’s Mike Stafford on the Morning Show about the issue of eating disorders in young people.

“Social isolation, a lack of routine, being disconnected from their peers, increased social media and exposure to all kinds of messages like fat-phobic messages… all of these things are contributing to the surge”. Read the full article.

Post of the Week

Biomedical Communications Professor Dave Mazierski spent the Holiday 2020 break at home printing 3D-models of bat-eared fox skulls. He made them for each of the nearly 50 undergraduate students attending his scientific drawing class online. Read the full blog post.
