Bring a friend to Speedo Heats this summer

The Speedo Sprint Series is a fun and exciting, entry-level competition for kids aged 8-13 years. This year the series kicks off at pools all across the state with Speedo Heats in February, and culminates in Sydney at Speedo Finals in March.

If you're a kid that loves to swim but are unsure about how you'd go at a club, this is a great opportunity to try 50m races. Non-members are more than welcome at Speedo Heats!

Talk to someone from your club committee or ask your Swimming NSW Club Support Officer to find out where Speedo Heats are being held in your area.

Country strong: building swimming skills in Dubbo

The sun was shining in Dubbo Saturday 16 January at the Western Area Swimming Development Day!

Swimming NSW Coaching Director Jon Shaw, and Regional Coaching Director Chris Myers were spotted on pool deck sharing their knowledge with over 70 swimmers aged 9-12 years.

The Development Day was skill based. Swimmers were keen to learn and quickly assimilated the tips and feedback they received into practice.

Thank you Western Area for hosting a fantastic day for both swimmers and coaches!

State Based National Age Challenge

Calling all junior swimmers, the State Based National Age Challenge is back!

Swimming Australia, in collaboration with Swimming NSW and other states, is proud to launch – once again – the next phase of evolution for competitive pathway swimmers across the country.

The Challenge, which is designed for girls and boys (11-14 years old), is an exciting and fresh concept that will encourage swimmers and their coaches to prepare for meaningful competition at the conclusion of the long course season, and will be used as a steppingstone in their journey in the sport.
