We are moving!

Hi <<First Name>>!

I don't have our emails sorted by city so forgive this email if you don't live in the San Diego area. This is not for the general public, but feel free to pass it on to someone you know, who isn't an ax murderer and would like to buy gardening gear and plants.

For the past several months, we have had a photo taped by the computer of the exact apartment where we wanted to move in New Hampshire. We hoped that if we both visualized getting approval for this apartment, then it was a done deal… and then…It was!!! What an amazing week! In addition to finally seeing a sane, reasonable, and committed President and Vice President inaugurated, we also got a call that we had been approved for exactly the apartment we wanted!

There’s always a catch!

The move-in date is March 1st so that gives us just five weeks to move 3,000 miles away, bringing everything we think is worth the cost of moving it. Five weeks to clear out the garden, because that is what renters have to do. Five weeks to do a million things in the middle of a pandemic! So our By Jeeni business is on hold until March. My sewing machine will be overlooking a beautiful river that I still have to learn how to pronounce and spell.

We’ve come up with a way to have a COVID-safe garden/moving sale, that is semi-virtual with 30-minute socially distant garden visits. Browse through the photo galleries linked below to see ahead of time what you want:

Then use the Garden Visit Scheduler below the photo galleries to select a 30-minute appointment. You will get an email confirmation with the address. Just show up at the appointment time, buy what you want, briefly visit from 6-feet apart and pay by cash or Venmo.

If you see something on the website that you really want, send me an email with an offer and schedule an appointment for your earliest convenience before the end of February. We will mark the items sold and ready for you to pick up during your scheduled visit.

Most of the plants are in pots but some need to be dug up. We have shovels, but you need to do the digging up. Please ask before taking cuttings – you might ruin a nice plant that someone else wants to pay for.

There are no prices on anything – because we just don’t have the time to figure that out. Honestly, we would just as soon give it all away, but this move keeps getting more expensive, so we need to raise some money. Just offer what you think is fair and take it home.

We are sure going to miss all of our friends here in San Diego. If it was safe, we’d really love to throw a parting party. Que sera, sera. I keep thinking of the opening song to Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe where the dolphins are soaring up to the sky – So long and thanks for all the fish!

Love to all of you.

Jeeni & Juan

P.S. Watch for our next email in March with lots of new hand-sewn items for sale.
