One Stop PGH | PLI, DOMI, City Planning, I&P, OMB, Fire

Starting in November 2018, the City of Pittsburgh introduced OneStopPGH, a “one-stop-shop" website where residents can apply, pay for, and receive business licenses, permits, planning applications. Plan review and inspection requests can now be conducted completely online. Now residents can navigate the development process from home, work, or on the go.

The creation and implementation of OneStopPGH has been a multi-year, multi-department collaboration, including the Office of Management and Budget, The Department of Innovation and Performance, The Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections, The Department of Mobility of Infrastructure, The Bureau of Fire, and City Planning – Zoning Division. Our goal has always been to better serve our residents and customers by increasing convenience and improving the customer experience through the modernization of our systems.

The OneStopPGH system rolled out four phases detailed below and now include services from four City Departments: Permits, Licenses & Inspections (PLI), Department of City Planning (DCP), Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI), and Bureau of Fire.

  • Phase 1, November 2018: PLI Business, Trade, & Contractor Licensing
  • Phase 2, May 2019: PLI Permits
  • Phase 3, May 2019: DCP Zoning Development Reviews, Property Certifications, & Planning Applications
  • Phase 4, May 2020: DOMI & PLI Code Enforcement, DOMI Permits, and Fire Permits

Residents can access the OneStopPGH Portal
here. Creating an account is not necessary to browse the database, users can click “Search OneStopPGH” on the portal home page to search the database via a variety of criteria. Should you need assistance, PLI Application Techs as well as representatives from DOMI and DCP are available through an embedded chat feature (pictured below) to help users from Monday to Friday 8 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. OneStopPGH has also created a series of instructional videos to help users navigate the platform. For more information on OneStopPGH, visit the OneStopPGH info page.
