Brown Takes Care 
As we enter Spring 2021, we are encouraging our community to renew its commitment to “Brown Takes Care,” a University-wide prevention and education initiative that calls on each of us to embrace behaviors that support safe ways of working, socializing and living during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We encourage you to continue to contribute your voices to this critical effort as the pandemic continues to impact our community. Data: Delivering a Better Future

Join Dr. Ashish Kumar Jha, Dean of the School of Public Health and Dr. Megan L. Ranney, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine,  present their perspectives on the role data has played in their work engaging the public and political leaders during the COVID-19 global pandemic as well as their respective research on pressing global and digital health issues facing society such as Dr. Ranney’s research on the gun violence epidemic in the United States. First Readings Program
February 12, 2021, 10am-12pm
Every year, the University chooses a reading for incoming first-year students as a way to engage with students on important topics and to create opportunities for dialogue. In collaboration with the Provost's Office, the President's Staff Advisory Council also offers this reading to staff who may be interested, along with faculty-led discussion groups. This year's reading is the “Report of the Brown University Steering Committee on Slavery and Justice”. Provost's Office will host virtual discussion groups. Register here.

One of the most important person-to-person communication skills is the ability to give and receive feedback effectively. This highly interactive workshop will provide participants with the tools needed to effectively give and receive feedback in a variety of situations.

Restorative Yoga
January 28, 12-1 PM
Need a break from your busy day? Take 45 minutes to restore and refresh with Yoga Instructor Jessie Dwiggins. You'll be introduced to breathing patterns, gentle stretches, and meditation techniques that will leave you feeling energized and relaxed. Register for one or all three. Each session counts as one fitness program toward 2021 Wellness Rewards.

Healthy Soups and Teas for Winter
January 26, 12-1 PM
The winter months are a great time for making delicious and nutritious soups. In this class, Jennifer Zartarian will discuss what makes a soup considered "healthy," basic preparation methods for homemade soups, and some easy recipes to try in the kitchen. We will end with some tea recipes for a treat any time of day to help keep you warm this winter. This webinar counts as a wellness program toward 2021 Wellness Rewards.

The Road to Financial Wellbeing

Jump in and travel the road to financial wellness! Join Blue Cross Blue Shield for a webinar where you'll explore financial needs and challenges that present at various stages of life, from that first “real job” to retirement, and including early career, marriage, family, etc. This financial program counts toward 2021 Wellness Rewards.
