New Year, New Chair and Vice-Chair, and a Look Back on 2020

The Transportation Authority Board elected District 8 Supervisor Rafael Mandelman as Chair and District 3 Supervisor Aaron Peskin as Vice-Chair for 2021. Additionally, our agency released the 2020 Annual Report that provides highlights of what we planned, funded, and delivered last year.

Quartermaster Reach: A Newly Restored Marshland Under the Presidio Parkway

Visitors can enjoy an up-close experience of nature along an elevated pedestrian bridge and trail that winds through the Quartermaster Reach marsh. The Presidio Parkway project, led by Caltrans and the Transportation Authority helped make this newly restored ecosystem and recreation area possible.

Experience Renovated Roads on Alemany Boulevard

SF Public works finished repaving 28 blocks of Alemany Boulevard last month. The Transportation Authority supported the project with $1.75 million in half-cent sales tax funds.

San Francisco Climate Action Plan

The City is updating its Climate Action Plan and community input is key. Explore the interactive open house, attend an online workshop, and take the survey.

Van Ness Directed Business Support

This program provides grants and technical assistance to businesses impacted by construction along Van Ness Avenue. Applications are due January 31.

Plan Bay Area 2050

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission and Association of Bay Area Governments are seeking community input to identify priorities for the future of the Bay Area. Take the survey by February 1. 

Transbay Joint Powers Authority Citizens Advisory Committee

Apply to serve on the TJPA CAC. Help shape the discussion in the development of Phase 2 of the Transbay Program and provide input in the operation of the Salesforce Transit Center. Applications are due February 26.

 

Caltrans Bike Highway Study

This study is focused on evaluating high-quality, uninterrupted, long-distance Bay Area bikeways. Take the survey by the end of February to share your priorities.
