Ephesians 6:10 ESV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
Gird up your loins. Strengthen yourself in me. I have given you everything you need. I have poured out on you every spiritual blessing. I have anointed you, equipped you and dressed you for battle. You do not have to wear someone else’s armour. Your armour is made to measure, a perfect fit.
I have given you robes of righteousness, a breastplate to guard your heart, and garments of praise. I have given you the oil of joy for mourning. I have given you a measure of faith, faith that protects and covers you from the enemy’s destructive arrows. Faith to trust. I have covered your head – I am your saviour, your healer, your deliverer. I have surrounded you with my truth to hold you secure. I have fitted your feet with my gospel peace. How beautiful are those feet that carry my good news! You are ready to go. And I am always with you.
I have given you a sharp two-edged sword that pierces even between bone and marrow, between soul and spirit, the power of my word in your mouth. My word, living and active that never fails, that always accomplishes what I have planned for it. I have given you my authority, to wield my sword, to walk in my power. I have given you access to me. Your prayers have impact; they accomplish great things.
There is nothing that you lack, so, gird up your loins. Take courage. Be dressed, ready for action. Take your stand.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
