Good Afternoon!

We’re well into January and I need to ask, how are your New Year’s resolutions going? I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that, if you made one, it involves exercising more and eating better. As important as these are for your body, did you know that they can also benefit your mental health?

I actually try to avoid New Year’s resolutions and instead set goals for myself at various points throughout the year. I started my “resolution” about diet and exercise in August and am pleased to say that I’m still pretty securely on the wagon. So, this round, I have a little bit of extra insight I can share about how to get on the wagon and not fall off.

Whatever 2021 has in store for us, I suggest that we focus on what we can control. And what we eat and how it affects our mental health is something I’d like for you to think about. After all, your brain could use a little T.L.C. this year, don’t you think?

In this week’s blog, "With a New Year Comes a New Diet and Mindset!," we’ll be exploring how eating right can help you improve your mental health. We’ll also provide some tips for sticking to your resolution.
