The country celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day in honor of an individual who sought equality and human rights for African Americans, the economically disadvantaged and all victims of injustice through peaceful protest. We witnessed history as Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States.

I do believe there is light at the end of the tunnel, and from the conversations we have had with many of you, we know you believe that as well. Your RAB team is focused on you and we will continue to stay focused and provide you with the necessary tools and information to help you super serve your customers and clients and “accelerate” your business this year.
Next month we will be evolving RAB's Business Unusual section, found on RAB.com and first launched last March at the start of the pandemic, to Business Accelerated. It will bring relevant content from the existing section and enhanced with new resources targeted to support your sales and marketing efforts with these goals in mind - to help your clients understand the value of radio advertising in 2021 and leverage the power of the medium as they rebuild their business.

In conjunction with this effort, we are also kicking off a year-long initiative featuring key and emerging categories RAB has identified in conjunction with our Sales Advisory Committee. Each month, various RAB resources will highlight a specific advertising category that we believe offers tremendous opportunity to drive existing business and help grow share in 2021. We will include a live presentation, updated Instant Backgrounds and new issues of The Pitch, just to name of few of the resources. We’re starting off with the Healthcare category for our live presentation in February, which is now open for registration. Titled “Radio Works for Healthcare,” it will take place at noon CT on Wednesday, February 17, and you can register for it here. Stay tuned for more information in Radio Sales Today and RAB.com.

Earlier this month, RAB attended the annual CES - the most influential tech event in the world. This year was 100% virtual, so while we were not in Las Vegas with 150,000 of our closest friends, we still had the opportunity to see and interact with new technologies and understand what is happening in consumer trends - especially in light of the global pandemic. In case you missed our reporting in Radio Sales Today, you can catch the coverage on RAB’s Media Wall, found here.

Until next month, stay strong and continue to stay healthy!
