Aloha,

With 2021 upon us, we are hopeful that the major challenges of last year are in the rear-view mirror as we look to better days ahead. As much as we are hopeful, we are still very aware that a return to any sense of normalcy is a ways away for our state.

COVID-19 Updates

At Hawaii Gas, we are committed to assisting all of our customers through challenging times. If you are having difficulty making payments on your gas bill, please contact us immediately to ask about payment assistance programs or payment plan options to pay off balances. There are also numerous community resource programs that may be available to assist you during the pandemic.

Currently, out of an abundance of caution, all Hawaii Gas offices remain closed to protect our staff and customers. While our offices are closed, our team continues to deliver gas and provide technical service and repairs as they have been throughout the pandemic, but do so wearing proper protective equipment and following COVID safety practices. Should you have any questions, please visit our website or call your local Hawaii Gas office.

Fujiya Hawaii

With almost 70 years of history in Hawaii, Fujiya Hawaii was originally located in Kalihi. In September of 2020, it reopened after moving to a new location at 930 Hauʻoli St. in McCully-Mōʻiliʻili.

“Fujiya itself has been around since 1953, and we’re probably best known for our mochi and our senbei products,” said Co-owner Chris Kanemura. “It’s not just the Japanese culture that you get, but the Hawaii infusion of flavor and ingredients,” Kanemura adds. “I just find that a beautiful thing because we love to not just serve Japanese confectionaries, but Hawaii confectionaries too.”

One of Fujiya Hawaii's best selling products is the fresh strawberry mochi. If you’re looking to try this treat, better get there early, as it often sells out quickly!
