Colonel Carlo Calcagni - setting a record
He won 3 gold medals at the Invictus games, he is a gold medal Paralympian, and so much more. His motto is 'Maiarrendersi' - Never give up. As a Colonel in the Balkan war he got exposed to heavy metals and it nearly killed him. Years of rehabilitation, with ongoing transfusions and oxygen, he still fights the consequences of that exposure. He trains hard and just wants to show people what is possible when you do not give up, when you defeat the impossible, come back. All he wants is to inspire people. Since he found the Alinker, he set himself a new challenge.
On January 23rd Carlo will run one hour at top speed with his Alinker, an extraordinary and special stage of the 'Tour of Italy supportive 2021'
Official FIDAL race Judges will record his efforts, while you can follow the online LIVE events! We will share the recordings later as well.
