Wishing you joy in 2021

2020 has been challenging for all of us in so many ways, and yet it has allowed a stepping back from "regular" life. For me, it's meant multiple changes in employment and holiday plans, a stripping back to bare necessities, and a deep gratitude for all the people continuing to work in difficult circumstances, providing the essential services we all rely on. If that's you: THANK YOU 💖

For the sake of my sanity during the last year, I've had to learn to expect much less than "normal" of myself, so I love this chart explaining how simple self-care activities affect us in such positive ways. My go-to lockdown self-care routine has included: daily walks in nature, hugs with the household, binge-watching Schitt's Creek (as well as Bridgerton and The Queen's Gambit, obviously!) on Netflix, rinsing the Apple Fitness+ 1 month free offer, knitting, and - of course - yoga.

How have you been saving your sanity?! I have some inspiration for you for 2021 and look forward to seeing you safe and well this year x

Online yoga education

Yoga Alliance have put lots of yoga continuing education classes online so I've been taking the opportunity to do some distance learning. If you're a yoga teacher (from any school) or just keen to deepen your knowledge, many of the classes have been record and are available to view online for free.

World Yoga Festival 2021

The World Yoga Festival is planned to go ahead 29 July - 1 August, all things being well, and I've been invited to lead some sessions. It's located in a beautiful natural setting near the River Thames, is hosted by the Arshakula Foundation, and will be an outstanding opportunity to learn from true masters in the authentic traditions (as well as from some lucky local teachers like myself!). It's definitely on the glamping side of festival-going (or bring your own tent) and includes authentic Indian entertainment and delicious vegetarian and vegan food, as well as healerstraders and family activities.

If you bought tickets for last year's cancelled event, they will be valid for this year.
