I saw a few flurries yesterday afternoon (and heard a rumor it was snowing hard for a minute up in Chapel Hill), but so far we've escaped much of the winter weather. Tuesday afternoon looks like it'll be sunny and bright, just in time for market!
Despite the cold nighttime temperatures lately, the days are getting longer, and this is the time of year when vegetable farmers start to order seeds for the upcoming season. We're continuing to harvest winter greens, lettuce, root crops, and other hardy veggies, but the stacks of shiny seed catalogs filling our mailboxes have already got us thinking about summer. Fortunately, we've got Screech's greenhouse tomatoes to satisfy that sandwich craving in the meantime...

Beechcrest Farm will be there! We will have pork tenderloins plus a nice small butt roast, bone in and boneless chops, ground pork, and farm sausage.
