Work Along With Heather

Are you sick of working alone in your room? Looking for someone to give you a bit of a pep talk every once in a while or jump start your writing week? Hang out with Assistant Dean Heather Sevener on Zoom! This isn’t a meeting, you won’t have to talk, it’s just a chance to connect if you miss the feeling of working around others. Come and go as you please. What have you got to lose?

EVERY MONDAY from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on ZOOM

Questions? Email Heather at hsevene@luc.edu

Three Minute Thesis

If you had three minutes with a potential funder or employer to describe what your research is about, could you do that? This is the goal of the Three Minute Thesis competition.

Loyola’s Three Minute Thesis competition will take place on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 4:00 PM (CST). This unique competition is open to any Masters or PhD student conducting research for their thesis or dissertation. Please click here for more details on Loyola’s Three Minute Thesis competition for 2021.

Programs must host their own internal competition to determine which graduate student will compete in the university-wide competition. Contact your GPD or department chair if you are interested in competing.

This event is open to the public and The Graduate School strongly encourages all faculty, students, staff, and community members to attend and support the competitors.

Call for Posters: LUC Climate Change Conference

This year the LUC Annual Climate Change Conference will be held virtually, the week of March 14 – 18, 2021.  The theme is Accompanying Youth to a Hope-Filled Future.  The School of Environmental Sustainability (SES) is inviting posters from faculty and students across the university. Poster content is broad and can range from course projects to basic or applied research having to do with the environment, environmental justice, business sustainability, environmental policy or anything that is related to the environmental crisis, broadly speaking.
