Many of the 'long-term' followers of this newsletter know that I have been talking about cryptocurrency for several years. I try to stay focused on travel as the topic, but bring it up from time to time. I mentioned it again back in September (Bitcoin was less than $11K) as I notice the momentum was shifting.
Now I am starting to get more questions. Here are a few answers.
I believe Coinbase is the best website (in the US) to buy/hold/trade currencies. Here is a promo link to get $5 worth of free bitcoin if you decide to start with a small investment.
I believe that Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) have the most long-term upside.
I believe the alternative coins also have plenty of good reasons for use but will remain extremely volatile from an investment point of view. Think of them like penny stocks. They will rise and fall with passion. I like Cardano (ADA), Stellar (XLM), Tron (TRX), Reserve (RSR) of the altcoins.
Although I have studied this space for years and understand the benefits and concerns, I do not believe I am the best person to give you anything more than my basic opinion. Anthony "Pomp" Pompliano is the best out there sharing information on the subject. His Youtube and Podcast are worth digging into.
