Where: Live online via Zoom, from the comfort of your own home. The Zoom invitation will be posted on the website on the morning of the reading. If you don't already have it, you should get the Zoom client installed on your device ahead of time.

You will be placed in the virtual waiting room until 7:30pm when the reading starts. We are limited to 100 Zoom participants. The reading will be recorded and posted to YouTube afterwards; please check the website for details.

Roseann Lloyd learned poems by heart with her grandmother when she was five years old. She is a working teacher who took a break from the classroom when she received a Minnesota State Arts Board Grant. She was awarded a Travel Grant from the Jerome foundation, and a Bush grant for writing poetry. Her published poetry collections include Tap Dancing for Big Mom,  Baby Express, Because of the Light, The Boy Who Slept Under the Stars: a Memoir in Poetry, and with poet Deborah Keenan, she edited the anthology Looking for Home: Women Writing in Exile (Milkweed Editions). Ms. Lloyd is currently working on a new book, Postcards to the White House.

Main Street Rag published LeRoy Sorenson's poetry collection, Forty Miles North of Nowhere. His chapbook Railman’s Son will be published in 2021. LeRoy won The Tushman Review 2019 Edna St. Vincent Millay Prize for Poetry. He was a finalist in Naugatuck River Review’s annual poetry contest and a semifinalist in the Nimrod International Journal of Prose and Poetry’s Pablo Neruda Prize in Poetry. Sorenson’s work has appeared or is scheduled to appear in The American Journal of Poetry, Atlanta Review, Cider Press Review, Crab Orchard Review, Comstock Review, the Sow’s Ear Poetry Review, among other journals. He lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, with his wife, who is a novelist.

Carol Rucks graduated from the University of Wisconsin, where she studied Literature and Creative Writing with David Steingass and Dave Engel. She has worked mainly in libraries, including the
Art/Music/Literature Department of the Minneapolis Central Library. Her poems have appeared in Abraxas, West Branch, Colere, Earth's Daughters, Poetry Quarterly, and elsewhere. She is the author of the poetry collection Evidence of Rain, which was published by Nodin Press and nominated for a Minnesota Book Award. She lives in Minneapolis.

Paul Dickinson's book Junker Dreams, an Automotive Memoir was published in 2019 by Hopewell Press. His writing has appeared in Conduit, City Pages and the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Dickinson’s multi-talents have taken him into the film industry where he has been featured in three films: Tired Moonlight, The Lake Street Detective, and The Last City in the East. He is currently the host of the Riot Act Reading Series.
Before and after: Both Milkweed, downstairs from our usual venue, and Merlin’s Rest, a bar/restaurant 3 blocks west where Midstream attendees often congregate, are once again open.
