Metropolitan Asian Family Services (MAFS), in furtherance of its persevered community service efforts to spread India’s Official Language, Hindi to everyone, has taken a valuable step to launch MAFS Hindi Academy. It is a natural progression of its already existing literacy programs which have been running for many years.
MAFS Hindi academy has been formed as a non-profit volunteer organization to promote and preserve Hindi language at the grass root level. Teaching Hindi language will also be geared towards all individuals including seniors and Children from any community who aspire to learn Hindi
Mrs. Santosh Kumar, The Founder and Executive Director of MAFS said that “the Indian culture, its heritage and traditions are very much tied with Hindi and by promoting Hindi the Indian ‘essence’ will live on in the next generation. Hindi is an official language of India (Article 343 of Indian Constitution) and the second most spoken language in the world. Its rich grammar, vocabulary and wide aesthetic appeal motivates Hindi academy volunteers to help preserve it”
Mr. Kishor Mehta, Dean of MAFS Hindi Academy added that “To do this, we will have well defined syllabus and practical ways to implement it. The syllabus and teaching methodologies in current situation will be online instruction through zoom and will be reviewed periodically to provide optimum benefits to the students.”
The first Ten weeks ‘Certification program in Hindi Proficiency (CHHP – 100)’ Virtual course for the beginners will Start on December 5, 2020.
