It is finished and it has just begun. A new President and Vice President are sworn in and we begin a new chapter in American History. No matter how you feel about this day we are all a part of this new chapter. We are all experiencing the shift from one phase to the next and God continues to walk with us all. I could say so many things right now but I think today's Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman said it best. If you didn't hear her poem at the inauguration you can find it here:

The retreat will be held online, starting Friday evening, January 29, 2021, from 7:30 to 9 pm for music, worship and introductions, continuing on Saturday with program led by Phil Porter from 9 to 11 am and 2 to 4 pm, and ending on Saturday evening, from 7:30 to 9 pm, with the Wisdom Circle. All men are welcome.
The theme will be “Embodiment in a Disembodied Time” and our host will be Phil Porter of Interplay. Phil has been with us before and he is eager to be with us again in these strange times.

Introduction to Conflict Resolution, Rev. Sophie Morse, facilitator
In this 1-hour introductory workshop we will look at the basic anatomy of conflict, a reliable path to resolution, and a tool for examining the ways that we can trip ourselves up on this path. Participants will walk away with a framework they can apply to any conflict, whether interpersonal, inter-organizational, or internal. The workshop will be interactive and allow for questions and discussion. No charge, but registration required. Registration materials available early January.

Help me, Pastor Allysa, plan next year’s Faith Formation programming. Even if you have never attended a Bible Study, special speaker, movie night or other educational program I want to hear from you! The survey should take 10-15 mins. You can take the survey anonymously or provide your name for follow-up. Even if you have more than one Waysider in your household everyone should take it individually. The more responses I can get the better I know how to serve you as your pastor and what justice/spiritual direction themes you would like to focus on as a church. Joys & Concerns
- Prayers of healing for the Larsen family as they continue to recover from COVID.
- Prayers for Rich Neal's friend, Joey, who is in the National Guard and has been called up to go to Olympia. Prayers for all those keeping us safe, especially during the turbulent times in politics around the country.
- Prayers for Chris Landers-Agosto's friend, Sam's, health.
- Prayers for Pastor Allysa's sister, Erin, and her husband. They have tested positive for COVID.
- Prayers for mutual and collective courage among church leaders around the country.
Only prayers requested out-loud during our worship services or emailed to the Church Office will be included in the weekly email. Any prayers written in Zoom comments or on Facebook will NOT be included.
