CONNECTING DURING COVID
HOW CERIMON HOUSE SUPPORTS ARTISTS RIGHT NOW

Dear Cerimon House Family,

Happy New Year! We have some exciting plans ahead for 2021, embracing the best and brightest arts supporters, helping artists earn more—and some delights from our non-profit partner, Resonance Ensemble!

Read on for the full story.

Join us for our new conversation series:
Cerimon House Connects

In December, Cerimon House launched Cerimon House Connects, an ongoing series of Zoom conversations with local and national artists and non-profits. The first one inspired everyone with proof that imaginative, creative minds can come together to make a difference. Our first conversation included Demone Seraphin, Artistic Director of the New American Theater in New York; Kitty Swink, a leader in the million-dollar non-profit, the Antaeus Theatre Company in Los Angeles; and Max Pollack, a New York-based Austrian and  award-winning innovator in jazz, tap and body percussion—and recently selected to be on a United States Forever Stamp.

Our next conversation is already in the works, and we would love for you to join us. Send an email to Paul.Ward@cerimonhouse.org to receive your invitation! If you’d like to support these kinds of initiatives, you can donate to Cerimon House here.

Cerimon House Connects is an ongoing ZOOM call series (you're invited!) featuring top Artist-focused organizations, artists, and corporate sponsors.

Coming Next Month: 3rd Way Creative Market

For the past year, Cerimon House led the region in artist collaborations that engage audiences in new ways. We are excited to take the next step on our innovative journey with the launch of 3rd Way Creative Market, a web portal that gives a place for artists, their audiences, and corporate donors to offer and acquire inspiring content. Working with artists, non-profits, and rights management experts, Cerimon House has co-created educational, musical, spoken word, and dance content for this new digital library for you to enjoy at home whenever you like.

As a member of the Cerimon House family, you will be among the first to know when 3rd Way Creative Market launches next month, with featured content from Kevin Carroll, George Colligan, Damian Erskine, David Friesen, Greg Goebel and Shelly Rudolph, among others. Again, if this is something you’d like to see more of, you can donate to Cerimon House here.

From our friends at Resonance Ensemble:
A new episode of "Under the Overpass"

All of Portland is a stage in Resonance Ensemble’s new digital concert series, Under the Overpass. Beginning in the summer of 2020, artists were filmed in acoustic spaces under Portland’s famous bridges — six feet apart, masked, and yet making music together.

On Wednesday, January 27 at 3:00 PM, Resonance will release its third episode of the series, with Resonance singers joined by the singers of Kingdom Sound Gospel Ensemble, and pianist David Saffert, in a dynamic arrangement of “Bridge over Troubled Water” filmed in Cathedral Park under the St. John’s Bridge.

Watch this world premiere for free at home on any device. For more info, sign up at resonancechoral.org and subscribe to the RE YouTube channel.

Thank You

And finally, we want to express our deep gratitude to you, our Cerimon House family, for your support. 2020 was a challenging year and so many of you showed up to virtual and outdoor events to help us lift up the arts—from music and dance, to spoken word and documentary projects. Thank you! If you would like to support all the programming to come in 2021, you can donate to Cerimon House here.
