The Chairman of the Board of NDEP, Mr. Ladi Jadesimi is pleased to announce on behalf of the Board, the appointment of a New Chief Executive Office (CEO) – Managing Director for the Niger Delta Exploration & Production PLC (NDEP Group) with effect from 10th February 2021.
Mr. Adegbite (‘Gbite) Falade will join the Company, bringing along some Twenty Five years of impactful and successful career experience across multiple sectors and continents in the energy industry.

To recognise Long Serving Staff throughout NDEP and its subsidiaries, and to acknowledge 5 members of staff that were retiring from the Company, a virtual Staff Appreciation Day was held across all locations on December 15th, 2020.
In his opening remarks at the event the Managing Director Dr. Layi Fatona, noted that despite the prevailing challenges caused by the pandemic all year long, ‘’NDEP was able to achieve its goals and objectives. This was made possible by the ever hard working members of staff’ who are the most important and irreplaceable assets of the Company”.

NDEP Plc has been crowned Number 1 amongst the Nigerian Independents (Indies): This is as presented in “The Talented Tenth Annual - 2020 Edition”, an informal ranking of the top 10 progressive, indigenous Nigerian E&P Independents by the esteemed industry publication, Africa Oil+Gas Report.
NDEP took the lead position in 2020 based on a range of factors, including its unique integrated status, the impact of the Refinery Expansion Project and its commitment to increasing production while maintaining cordial community relations and delivering optimal value to shareholders.

Ongoing Construction - Train 3
|
|
Work continues on the Ogbele Refinery Expansion Project, with completion of all construction works, the commissioning of the fully fledged Refinery is expected to hold by Q2 2021 with all Trains 1, 2 and 3 coming on stream. At the end of January 2021, NDPR secured approval to introduce hydrocarbon into Train 3 of the Refinery from the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

In Q4 2020, a total of 484,926 bbls of crude oil and condensate and 880,277MM Scf of gas were produced from the Ogbele Field.
Additionally, 7,418,183 litres of diesel was produced and sold to the domestic market. All NDPR production is in full compliance with the DPR production quota restrictions stipulated by OPEC.

Congratulations to Dr. Layi Fatona, who recently received another honorary Doctor of Science (DSc)(Honoris causa) Degree, from the University of Ibadan. This was in recognition of his sterling performance as a notable oil Explorationist and a successful Entrepreneur.
The Award was presented at the University’s 2020 Convocation and 72nd Foundation Day Ceremony in Ibadan, on November 17th, 2020.
