Dear Friends and Colleagues,

To kick off the new year, the Movement for Community-led Development is delighted to announce the launch of our research findings on CLD! On Wednesday, January 27, we will host our first major Zoom event of the year: Local Means Local: New Tools for Strengthening Community-Led Development

Our keynote address will be presented by Dr. Joyce Banda, the 1997 Africa Prize Laureate and former president of Malawi. President Banda has recently devoted her energies to a new community development initiative in her country.

This event will be conducted in three sessions, focusing on the launch of our CLD assessment tool, a new quality appraisal tool designed for evaluations of CLD programs and insight for the first-ever study of the state of community-led development programming, based on 170+ programs across 65 countries. Speakers from around the world will be joining us for this exciting event to reiterate their commitment to CLD and discuss how to better translate CLD into practice.

Join us!
Wednesday, January 27
1:00 PM - 3:40 PM GMT (2 PM CET; 8 AM EST)

The event will be conducted in English and French and will include a plenary and two short workshops on the tools.
