Happy February!

We hope you are all feeling rested after a well-deserved break after what was a busy year that seemed to be dominated by Covid-19 and the impacts on our organisations, volunteers and importantly, our work. Enough said!

If you have anything relevant you would like to include in this newsletter, please submit it to us by the 20th of the month.  Submit to ellie@volunteernelson.org.nz

Volunteer Nelson Happenings

Volunteer Nelson's move from our old volunteer referral service has been completed.  Be Collective is now our platform which links directly from our website.  If you haven't contacted us to update your volunteer opportunities and manage your free account, please get in touch!  We can still provide training and support.

One of the best features is that people looking for opportunities can do so without having to register first!

You can view this on our website directly or see the image below!  Prospective volunteers can search by cause, skills and suitable for types of volunteering, such as Under 16 (with parent/guardian consent) or groups and families, for example. People can also search for relevance and distance, but also by the newest, which encourages people to browse more often to see the latest roles.

More information and terms of use will be available in the near future on the Ministry's website
