How are you adjusting to working online most of the time? The border collie above has made an amusing adjustment.
As we begin a new year and gratefully leave 2020 behind us we do realize that there are some things that aren’t going to be changing for a while. We are still going to be connecting virtually probably for at least the next six months. At least. What does that mean for you personally and professionally?
To help people continue through these challenging times, I’m looking forward to sharing my networking expertise during these virtual times with the Exceptional Connections networking group meeting next month. As I was preparing for this meeting I was reflecting on my favorite things about connecting virtually.
Now I really love to meet people in person, but that is just not realistic given Covid restrictions. But I’m finding that networking virtually can have its benefits too. I am meeting more people outside of Portland than ever before. I’m helping connect others in different states and cities more than ever before. I love not having to dress up every time I’m networking (or at least only what shows on camera).
And what is most helpful is that online networking takes less time. Less travel time to go to a meeting. No parking or traffic. Your coffee intake is less perhaps too.
In thinking about your networking for 2021 - where are you feeling stuck? Do you have a networking plan for 2021? Do you see a Zoom invite and turn away? Are you able to use virtual networking to your advantage?
If you are struggling with any of those questions, I’d like to invite you to join me on February 9th to learn the “Three Secrets to Building a Referral-Based Business Virtually” presentation and meet some new entrepreneurs with the Exceptional Connections networking group. https://www.exceptionalconnections.com/event/online-exceptional-connections-february-networking-event/
In the meanwhile, stay connected with others whether it be your furry friends, your entrepreneurial friends or your family. Will leave you with my furry companion Matilda who is often on my virtual calls and meetings.
