Dear Friends,

This long weekend, there’s a wealth of opportunity to come together to pause and reflect with us at St Paul’s as we mark Aboriginal Sovereignty Day/Australia Day, and recommit ourselves to the work of reconciliation with First Nations People.

On Sunday, Canon Heather will be preaching at our 8am and 10am services, and Canon Robert at our 1pm service. If you are joining us in person, you can book your seats here. If you are joining us from your home or from holidays, Canon Christopher will be engaging with you in the live-chat as our ePastor that day. Do make sure to say ‘hello’, and let him know from where you are joining us.

On Monday, 25 January, we are joining Aunty Jean Philips and our friends at Common Grace for a service with Aboriginal Christian leaders and Christians from across the nation, praying to heal the heart of our nation. You can join the service online at 7:30pm on commongrace.org.au. On Tuesday, 26 January, at 5:10pm you can join us for a streamed service of Choral Evensong sung by the lay clerks of our choir, at with I will be offering prayers for reconciliation.

During the week, the Cathedral is again open for personal prayer. Next week we are open on Wednesday to Saturday from 10am-3pm. If you are headed back to work or school after the summer holidays, we wish you a good start. If you’re working or studying in the CBD why not pop by to enjoy the stillness and peace of our Cathedral?

We’d be pleased to see you here, either in-person, or online, and wish you a safe and happy long weekend.

With all good wishes,

Dean Andreas.
