Softball and Baseball Skills Assessments this weekend!
Baseball and softball skills assessments will be held this Saturday, Jan. 23rd at the TSA complex (1600 Bevis Street). Refer to your email communications from division directors regarding specific instructions for your child’s sport and division. TSA’s spring soccer program does not require a skills assessment.
As a reminder, the TSA COVID Policy remains in effect for the spring season and face coverings are required while on TSA premises. Review the full policy here.

TSA Logo Shop and Volunteer Engagement
This Saturday, stop by the TSA Logo Shop (at the front entry gate) to purchase TSA-branded items and to learn more about TSA’s volunteer expectations and opportunities. Show your TSA pride with a face mask (child and adult sizes available), RTIC tumblers, stadium blankets, and camping chairs. Hear about the many roles available to fulfill your team’s volunteer requirements. Families who signed up to sell candy can also pick up their inventory at the same spot.

Parent Orientation to be held on January 27th
New and returning parents are invited to join the TSA Board of Directors for a (virtual) parent orientation on Wednesday, Jan. 27th at 6:30 PM. Learn about parent expectations, league activities, our Positive Coaching Alliance partnership and volunteer opportunities. After brief presentations from the board, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the league.
We encourage new TSA families to take advantage of this orientation. With over 1,300 active players and parents, TSA relies on parent volunteers to run our operations. Learn not only how the league runs, but how you can be a part of one of the best youth sports organizations in Houston.

Sponsor Spotlight: New Magnolia Brewing Company
Community partnerships are important to our league and we are launching a new feature to spotlight our sponsors. This week, we focus on New Magnolia Brewing Company, a TSA sponsor and nearby neighbor located at 1616 Bevis Street. New Magnolia is owned by the Robinson family, whose three children have played sports at TSA for several years, including a current Mustang baseball player. The Robinsons invite you to swing by their craft brewery for pizza and beverages after your skills assessment this Saturday, or after an upcoming game. They are open seven days a week and ample outdoor seating is available.

- Play up requests – Friday December 18th at 5 PM
- Registration Opens – Monday, January 4th at 12 PM
- Registration Closes - Monday, January 11th at 12 PM
- Parent Orientation - Wednesday, January 27th at 6:30 PM
- Skills assessment (Baseball & Softball only) – January 23rd
- Practices begin the week of February 8th
- Games – March 6th through May 22nd

We Need You!
TSA is a 100% volunteer organization. Every family is expected to volunteer in some capacity during the season (concession shifts, scoreboard, scorebook, team parent). In addition, there are several volunteer opportunities that provide early registration access for the following season (in this case the Fall 2021 season). If you would like to know more or are interested in one of our long term volunteer openings, please email volunteer@timbergrovesports.org.
