The weekly newsletter from GPS Training

Welcome to this week's newsletter from GPS Training.

The picture above was taken at Kielder Reservoir, Northumberland, before the current lockdown.

Let's see what is going on in the world of outdoor GPS navigation

What do you carry with you
in your rucksack

What random bits of ‘super useful kit’ do you carry when hill walking?

I don’t mean map, compass, warm clothing, etc I mean the odd things like a couple of meters of gaffer tape around your flask, the food you don’t really like that you don’t really like (so you won’t snack on it) but you will eat if you are stuck out overnight).

What random but ingenious bits and bobs do you carry? Let us know.

You can see what we have in our rucksacks here.

There is no limit within the SatMap Active 12 unit, but for speed of loading, we tend to keep our Routes to within 500 points.
