Niwot Elementary

Principal Corner

Dear Niwot Elementary Families,

We will be celebrating Valentine's Day this week, and while celebrations will look a bit different this year, we will still make this a special day for your child. Watch for more information from your child's teacher.  Thursday will also be a 5th grade Leadership Team sponsored dress-up day. Have your student(s) dress in their favorite valentine's shirt or just wear valentine's colors of red, pink, purple, etc. It's always fun to see the school full of spirit!

We have had a great two nights of Parent-Teacher conferences. Thank you to all of our families that have attended on Webex to celebrate your child. We have one more evening of conferences on Wednesday, February 10th. A special thank you to our PTAC, Kelli Bronski, and RMCC for providing the meals for our staff each evening.

The deadline to nominate an outstanding teacher is this week! If you haven't done so yet please take a moment by Wednesday, February 10th. It doesn't take long to do and our hard-working, dedicated, and loving teachers are so deserving.

Safety is our number one priority at school. We often talk to students about Safe2tell Colorado. This is a way to anonymously report anything that concerns or threatens them, their friends, their family or their community. It's always a good idea to take a moment to remind your child about this resource and to talk as a family about how to stay safe in the school, the neighborhood and the community. For more information visit https://safe2tell.org/

Here's to another great week.  Please let me know how I can support you.

Sincerely,

Nancy Pitz
Principal
A reminder that there is no school on Friday, February 12th and Monday, February 15th.
