Hello, Eagles! Here's what's happening at McAlpine this week. It's Someone Special Week with a McAlpine Town Hall and General PTO meeting and Eagle Night Out in the middle.

Monday- I MADE it!
Post a picture of your creation and of what you are trying to replicate. Use legos, Playdoh, anything - get creative!

Tuesday - TALENTED art

Wednesday - WE Can Help
Do an act of kindness for someone in your home or neighborhood -- offer to roll out your neighbor's trash can, make a Valentine for an elderly neighbor, ask a grown up in your home what you could do to help them!

Thursday - TAKE a Selfie
Post a pic with your "at home classmate". This could be your pet, your sibling, a grown up, or even your favorite stuffed animal!

Friday - Someone Special Dance
Show us your moves! Post your best dance clip to your favorite song!

Meal Bundle Distribution - January 2021

Weekly pick-up of meal bundles will continue on Wednesdays in February from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at select pick-up locations across the district. Meal bundle pick-up dates are February 3, February 10, February 17 and February 24. View pick up locations here.

Someone Special Week
In February, McAlpine usually has a Someone Special Dance. While a school wide dance is not possible this year, we can still celebrate the special people around us. Join us this week, February 8th - 12th, as we celebrate Someone Special Week!

Share your Someone Special Week pictures! Post those smiles in the McAlpine Facebook group and email them to yearbookmcalpine@gmail.com.

We need to work TOGETHER to help your child memorize their multiplication facts. They can memorize 144 facts if they follow these 6 Rules. The Fastest Way to Learn Multiplication (video)

Rule 1: Multiply By One- Anything times one is that number.

Rule 2: Multiply By Ten- Zero is the Hero- Take the number you start with and add a zero.

Rule 3: Multiply By Eleven- Multiply a single digit by 11, it just duplicates itself.

Rule 4: Multiply by Two- Double the number /or/ Skip count by 2s

Rule 5: Multiply by Five- Skip count by 5s

Rule 6: Multiply by Nine- There is a finger trick /or/ The product must equal 9.
