Weeknight Lane Closures I-75 NB at I-285 in Clayton Start Monday
ATLANTA – Work crews for the Georgia Department of Transportation will install overnight lane closures in proximity of the I-285/I-75 interchanges in Clayton County each weeknight beginning Monday, February 8. This work is in conjunction with construction of the new Collector Distributor (CD) lane system which will be built adjacent to the existing I-75 northbound lanes between SR 331/Forest Parkway and I-285.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, one right lane will be closed on I-75 northbound between Bob White Trail and the I-285 interchange (approximately two miles) each weeknight beginning Monday, February 8 from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following mornings. These weeknight closures will continue through March 1.
Drivers will be alerted of the upcoming traffic impacts by message boards and barricades in advance of approaching the area. As always, motorists traveling in the area are reminded to reduce their speeds in the work zone. Motorists are also encouraged to wear seatbelts, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and plan their routes before getting on the road by calling 511 for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
