Invitation GMA 2021

Dear friends of JEF-NL,

as the year 2021 is now in its starting months, our current board year is coming to an end. Therefore, you are all invited to the upcoming GMA@home, which will take place on the 28th of February 2021 online. At the GMA (General Member Assembly), we will elect the new national board, vote on statute changes and motions, and discuss plans for our next year of activities. The GMA will start at 2 pm and will approximately end at 6 pm. For the time being, I would like to invite all of you to fill out the following form to have an overview of who will participate and who won’t. In order to do that please follow this link:

You have to fill in the form if:

You are taking part at the GMA;
You can't make it to the GMA and you wish to give your vote as a proxy to someone else;
You wish to run for a position in the new board;
You haven't had the chance to take part in JEF activities yet but you want to be present and get to know us.

I want to remind you that we need to reach a quorum in order for the General Members' Assembly to be valid, so if you can't participate it is strongly recommended that you make use of proxy votes and indicate someone you trust to cast the vote in your name instead. If you don't know who to give your proxy to, send an email to netherlands@jef.eu so that we can help you with finding a suitable proxy for you. In order to register your proxy vote, fill in the Google form.

STATUTE AMENDMENTS
In the upcoming weeks, we will inform you about the potential motions that we have planned. For anyone who might have planned to file motions, you will find the current version of the statute, here in Dutch and English. If you want to submit an amendment to the statute, please write your proposed change by filling in this document for amendments and send it to netherlands@jef.eu by the 24th of February 2021.

POLITICAL DOCUMENTS
political documents for discussion should be submitted through your local section's representatives before the 17th of February to the address netherlands@jef.eu. The documents will then be forwarded to the JEF-NL members together with a second form for amendments.

Generally, this board is not going to be about designating you to a task, but designing a task to you!
If you see yourself getting involved in JEF actively and if you have a concrete project or idea in mind that you'd like to work on, don't hesitate to apply for the board by indicating what project you would like to take charge of. All in all, a board is a team; you won't be left alone and decisions will be made collectively. For a more detailed description or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Please, send us your application (Motivation statement & a photo of yourself) latest by the 24th February 2021 to netherlands@jef.eu .

If you haven't been able to pay your membership fee for the year 2020 you can register as a member for the association year 2020 by filling in the form and paying the membership fee in order to be eligible to vote at the GMA. See our 'join us' page for details. After the GMA, the cycle for 2021 will begin. Of course, you can already pay both years at once by indicating this in the reference and transferring 30€.
