 We are writing to you today to introduce the Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation.
While we are own 501(c)3 entity, our sole purpose is to provide funding for all areas of academic excellence in Forest Hills Public Schools! Simply put, we raise funds so we can respond to district needs. The Foundation represents the entire district… three attendance areas… 17 schools.
We distribute over $300,000 annually to benefit our fabulous educators and students. The Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation provides funds for creative and unique programs and activities that promote academic and arts excellence and are beyond normal school budgetary and operational functions. Educators requests funds through our grant processes. The funds for the grants come from our three largest fundraisers and our annual appeal.
- The State of the District Luncheon is scheduled for May 6 at 12pm – live, virtual event.
Heidi Hendricks is our Luncheon Chair.
- The Charlie Anderson Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 9 at Thornapple Pointe Golf Club.
Dave Mickelson and Jeff Wierenga are our Golf Outing Chairmen.
- The Gala is scheduled for November 3.
Matt and Cheryl Denenberg are our Gala Chairs.
- The Annual Appeal letter is mailed in December.
Please mark your calendars now and plan to join us for the State of the District Luncheon on May 6. Superintendent Dan Behm will be the keynote speaker. The live, virtual event will be at Noon and EVERYONE is invited to join. No cost to watch/attend. We will share more information, including the link to join as we get closer to the event.
