UCI Sustainability Winter 2021 Week 6 Digest

Hello Anteaters! Happy Week 6!

If you have a moment, we ask that you please fill out the
SRC Impact Survey. We love delivering programs that reflect your values and interests, and filling out this survey is a great way for us to do so. It will only take a couple minutes, but it makes a huge difference!

Also, please note, tomorrow at 3 pm, we will be having a Sustainability Co-curricular Working Group (SCWG) meeting. All sustainability organizations are welcome, and if you or your org would like to join, please reach out to me at slefevre@uci.edu and I'll send the Zoom link and agenda.

We hope you are all doing well and taking care of yourselves. Good luck with midterms, Anteater!

CALPIRG Students

CALPIRG Students is a student run org started at the UCs in the 70s to protect the environment, make college affordable, and help students vote.

Climate change is one of the most profound threats of our time and we are already feeling the impact. For example, last year 4 million acres in California burned from wildfires. We need to switch from fossil fuels to 100% clean and renewable energy. Our state is on the path to switch to renewable electricity, but not fast enough to stop the worst impacts of climate change.

Sign this petition and join 15,000 other UC students calling on Governor Newsom to speed up our transition to 100% clean energy!
